Precision 17 - Fire Damage (In Process)

We took Precision 17 into our care after it was damaged in a fire at the Fremantle Sailing Club. We undertook extensive boat repairs and maintenance such as sandblasting, repairing delamination, applying fibreglass mat with Vinylester resin, priming, filling and fairing. See our progress below!

The team repaired delamination between the foam and fibreglass.

The team applied two layers of fibreglass mat with Vinylester resin. Vinylester resin has an excellent resistance to water ingression so it was perfect for the job!

We applied three coats of Awlgrip high build primer. Then it was ready for filling and fairing.
